Our founder, Gordon Denford, was presented with the BC Seniors Living Association (BCSLA) Pioneer Award from BCSLA CEO Lee Coonfer at a special ceremony coinciding with the celebration of the 30th Anniversary of Berwick House. Although Gordon received the award in September at the BCSLA Conference in Whistler, BC, we wanted to share this celebration with those who helped get Berwick off the ground and of course, our Residents.
In addition, four of our employees, Doug Webb, Bill Krutz, Margot Wallace and Katrina Glass, received special awards to celebrate their 30 years of service to Berwick Retirement Communities, having been with the company since the doors first opened at Berwick House. Thank you to them for their 30-years on unwavering, extraordinary loyalty and service.
It was a wonderful afternoon of reminiscing over how far Berwick has come in the last 30-years and how it all started. Residents, their families, staff and community partners all gathered together in celebration of such a significant milestone.
Berwick House also unveiled their brand new Tweed’s Cafe, which has been a very popular spot for the Residents since it officially opened.
